Following is an explanation of Ranks and how to get them and what they mean.
Our ranking system is based on posts for the most part. The only ranks you CANNOT obtain by posts is:
Moderator
Warrant Officer 1
Chief Warrant Officer 2
Chief Warrant Officer 3
Chief Warrant Officer 4
Chief Warrant Officer 5
House Administrator
Our Warrant Officers are in charge of the moderation of our boards through a team of moderators called Security Forces. This group will consist of an Elite team of members who have proven themselves loyal to the benefit of our forums and trustworthy of the positions they hold.
Security Forces personnel have the right to reprimand you, restrict privileges, or even possibly ban you. Don't piss them off.
Next are our standard ranks and what number of postings are required to obtain them. It's an automatic system so don't pm me whining and bitching about someone you don't think deserves the rank. All is fair in love and war. We've structured it kind of like the army but have made a few adjustments. If you are looking for exact rankings and procedures, we'd advise you to join the military. This is our world so we set the system up to fit our needs.
Private 5
Private First Class 10
Corporal 15
Sergeant 20
Staff Sergeant 35
Sergeant First Class 50
Master Sergeant 75
First Sergeant 100
Sergeant Major 150
Command Sergeant Major 200
Sergeant Major of the Forums 300
Second Lieutenant 350
First Lieutenant 375
Captain 400
Major 450
Lieutenant Colonel 500
Colonel 600
Brigadier General 700
Major General 800
Lieutenant General 900
General (Chief of Staff) 1000
General of the Forums 2500
As you can see, it takes quite a number of posts to gain rank after a while. That's to keep people from filling the posts too quickly. And if we catch you posting garbage just to gain rank, YOU WILL BE BANNED. No if's, and's, or but's about it. So don't be stupid about it.
All posters who gain in rank hold that status and position. All enlisted personnel answer to the Sergeant Major of the Forums. The officers answer to the Chief of Staff, the General of the Forums. Of course, officers are higher rank than the enlisted so they hold precedence.
The Warrant Officers are in a class of their own. Lower in rank than officers, they are still higher in rank than the enlisted, but the Warrant Officers hold a position higher than the officers. This is to allow them to fulfill their duties as our Security Forces.
And of course, no one outranks the House Administrator, me. My say is final on all due accounts. If I say you go, you may as well kiss your account good-bye. But I am reasonable. I don't delete accounts just for the fun of it but I do reserve that power.
Now get to posting and try to say something worthwhile. And as always, enjoy the time you are here. |
